Based in the San Joaquin Valley and Los Angeles, Radio La Mancha fuses storytelling and rock'n'roll into a dynamic and captivating art project. The duo, comprised of Edgar Aguilasocho ("Eddy Eagles") and Adam De León, has been meticulously crafting their unique sound for over a decade.
Eddy's vision, driven by a desire to exorcise through distorted riffs and fantastical prog-rock narratives, led him to Adam, a Bonham-inspired drummer from the California coast. Together, they weave concept albums into quixotic adventures, celebrating and reinterpreting rock history through fuzzy riffs and powerful grooves.
Their journey began in 2011 as "Dead Quixote," exploring California's dive bars with a flexible lineup that included Dave Virginia on bass and Kyle Todd on guitar. From iconic venues like Hollywood's Whiskey a Go Go to local haunts like Costa Mesa's Avalon Bar, they released two minor LPs, "Absurdity" (2011) and "Green Star" (2012), and enjoyed recognition as OC Weekly's "Locals Only" band in April 2012. Dead Quixote closed their chapter in February 2013, paving the way for Radio La Mancha's resurrection in 2020.
On May 10, 2020, Radio La Mancha debuted their full-length masterpiece, "Valentine," solidifying their artistic vision. Now, they set their sights on the upcoming album "Versus" under the Virtuist™ label, with the single "Versus, Part One" released on January 2, 2024, offering a thrilling glimpse into the journey ahead.
Radio La Mancha isn't just a band; it's an invitation to an odyssey, a sonic tapestry woven with rock's rich history and the human spirit's yearning for adventure. Stay tuned as they continue to redefine rock storytelling with their new chapter, "Versus."
